My best creativity comes when I'm the most connected. When I'm meeting an actor friend for coffee, or catching up with a casting director, or brainstorming with a writer friend, that's when good mojo happens. But I'm an introvert. And usually I forget all of the above.

Although it's hard to quantify exactly what being a baby parent does to your brain --- I can tell you that two times today I gave directions to actors that made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Isn't it amazing how a rude/abusive message from an industry gatekeeper can still rankle years later? Something about their position in the industry silences you, makes you feel unworthy of sharing what they said. Even though they were wrong, it's hard to feel peace with it.
