My nan adored Dionne Warwick. My mum, then I, grew up with her on repeat. Records blaring. We grew up with Nan taking centre stage at family do’s, a few whiskeys in, asking if anyone knew the way to San Jose. So surprising mum with front row tickets last night meant everything.

And that’s it, 85 years on The Dunkirk Little Ships have arrived back in France. Both British and French waving them back in this evening!

Yesterday I ran 5 miles. 24-hours later I’m having a platelet transfusion. If something doesn’t look or feel right- act on it. I did. I got my bloods tested. A normal platelet count starts at 150,00, mine was 12! Still got loads of tests to go but I know I’m in the right place.

As the fourth week of being in here approaches, I had the best visitor today 🤍

My bone marrow might’ve failed me, but cake never will. After 3+weeks in hospital, the doctors have now confirmed my bone marrow’s failed. It’s been a long and tiring journey to get here but we can go forward. Thank you for all the messages, calls and cards. It means a lot 🤍
