Do you ever wonder how much of your life is just backstory?

Does suffering make us stronger? Or does it just mean you’ve experienced being human?

These questions I ask are sometimes tongue in cheek. But other times, I really want to know what others think.

I want to be religious like I was a decade ago—when belief in the divine was reassuring and safe. Not like now, where I oscillate between no divine and a divine that isn’t omnipotent and is maybe cruel. Then I wonder if I’m part of the divine.

Corporations must think we’re dumb. “I know, let’s increase the price by $200 and offer a sale of $200 off. People will think they got such a good deal.” Yeah, except I research what I buy and know what the original price was.
