Rumors circulating that #Tigray war will restart. Who in their right mind wants a new conflict with so much death, destruction, suffering and devastation!? Especially when there is a road to peace - as rocky as it is. #Ethiopia needs peace and stability to achieve its potential.

Pure Insanity if #Ethiopia's Northern (#Tigray) war resumes. TPLF will not march into Addis, and ENDF will not occupy/pacify Tigray. Just more death, destruction and suffering - who will possibly benefit!? Negotiations will not be easy - but only way.

Veterans seeking medical care experienced widely varying wait times depending on geography, specialty, and whether they were referred to VA versus non-VA clinicians. #OAResearch Yevgeniy Feyman ๐ŸŸฃ Daniel Abebe Asfaw Kevin Griffith ja.ma/3An3aoL

Are you interested in running your own surveys to answer important questions? I often get asked to share best practices & advice. So I decided to write a comprehensive "how to" guide covering the complete survey process from beginning to end: scholar.harvard.edu/files/stantcheโ€ฆ

Today, Commonwealth Fund released a new international survey of primary care doctors. It finds many are reporting being burned out and overworked, and unable to provide the best care for patients. This should ring alarm bells for us all.

Did declining religious participation in the late 1980s lead to increased deaths of despair (e.g. suicides) in the early 1990s? A new paper out this week tackles this question. I summarize the paper and give my take below.

๐Ÿšจ New(ish) paper alert ๐Ÿšจ We show that periods spanning more temporal categories (e.g. 1:30-3:00) feel longer than those spanning fewer (e.g. 2:00-3:30), affecting scheduling, willingness to wait, and rideshare choices (as per a large-scale analysis of historical data).

When it comes to inducing more effort, which bonus scheme typically works best (don't be fooled by the picture, the stash of cash is isomorphic)? A. Work hard to earn cash as a bonus B. Receive cash and work hard to keep it C. Equally as effective D. Neither works I
