For the second week running CrossCountry Trains can only muster 5 coaches to get from Penzance to Edinburgh so yet again over £100 buys me space on the floor by the loo. Have to wonder if the company is aware or even cares about customers.

My first analysis of #localgov 22/23 accounts. Only a third published but enough to pick out signs of financial stress across the sector.

Just back from Vietnam where we got a night train from Hanoi to Hue. A 14 hour journey on a seriously old train! But it got us there on time! Arrived at Heathrow this morning and GWR have cancelled not only our train but the one after. Now getting home two hours late!
