Fantastic day #3, yesterday, in #Iceland with the UoR - Geography and Environmental Science students. Excellent day of climbing Sólheimajökull (I managed it twice!), learning about the glacial history of the region, and measuring the ablation wires on the glacier to facilitate winter data collection.

Yesterday UoR - Geography and Environmental Science students (and staff) were exploring the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Geysir, and Gulfoss on Day 6 of their #Iceland fieldclass. Bonus "comedy" photo at the end.

The final day of the UoR - Geography and Environmental Science #Iceland trip, we had a walk around the new eruption at Geldingadalur. Checking out the extent of the lava flow, which is still very hot in places! Unfortunately, not many photos of this one 😅

It's gotten to that point of the thesis, where it's taken an hour to realise that a comment "What's an 'An'?" is where I'd fat fingered the shorthand for Zinc... Thankfully hand-in is on Monday. #phdchat

Celebrating #WorldWetlandsDay with some wetlands (Bofedales) from the Peruvian Andes. These play a vital role in climate regulation, water quality control, ensuring water availability for people and animals, and have huge cultural significance!
