I finally finished a rebuild of my portable satellite system to include the linear satellites and I was having fun all week making contacts. An FT-857 for the uplink and an FT-817 for the downlink. An 18 amp hour jump start battery to power the FT-857.

Great AO-92 pass in L/v mode at 17:50 UTC. Thanks WA6DNR, K7YDL, WD9EWK and W5RKN for the contacts. My portable station configuration for AO-92 L/v mode. DJ-G7 for uplink. FT-4X for downlink. DIY 12 element 1.2 gig yagi.

Great rove to DM63 today. I logged 20 contacts on the AO-92 pass at 1745z, 16 contacts on the AO-91 pass at 1926z and 9 contacts on the PO-101 pass at 1954z.

Just as I was thinking of doing a rove to DM62 I had a QSO on a SO-50 pass today with N5OTY from Las Cruces NM in DM62.

I logged 29 contacts to LOTW from my rove to White Sands National Park today. Too many to list, but I gotcha KK4YEL

On Tuesday the 24th I will be in Tularosa New Mexico in grid DM63. You will hear me on the AO-91 passes at 17:59 and 19:37 UTC, and the AO-92 passes at 16:19 and 17:51 UTC. Dan Eggert - AC9E

I just uploaded my 43 contacts to LoTW from my rove to DM63 today. It was fun and certified virus free! Grid DM73 is just about 5 miles east of where I was today. That will be my next rove. To be announced! Dan Eggert - AC9E

My portable linear transponder satellite configuration with a Windows 10 tablet PC running Satpc32 software for CAT control. It all rotates with the antenna on the tripod. Having fun while social distancing!

I got tired of it also so I have discontinued the AMSAT BB for a while. I will get my roving info here on twitter and AMSAT.org for now.

My latest DIY antenna is similar to an arrow II antenna but it has 9 elements for UHF and 4 elements for VHF. The boom splits in half for easy storage and transportation. The coax cables enter the inside of the boom and exit at the rear.

Coming to the satellites soon! (Paul AC9O) and myself (Dan AC9E) will be giving a special QSL card as a reward for working both of us on the same satellite pass. This will be similar to what (Ron AD0DX) and (Mitch AD0HJ) had. Listen for us on the FM voice satellites. 73

I have been working lilacsat-2 (CAS-3H) quite often lately. It is a great satellite, but it is not always turned on. I check the AMSAT current status page shortly before the pass to see if there has been any activity. Thanks Carlos W7QL for the QSO tonight!
