LAPD said in its statement cited “violence within the encampment.” For the second straight night, escalation began with pro-Israel counter-protesters attempting to break down barricades in front of the encampment, engaging in violence, as Daily Bruin and others have reported.
Finally, Dan Zhukov makes the case for a channel among U.S., U.K., and France, highlighting the benefits of swift comms for immediate clarification. “Compared to other options, a mechanism connecting the heads of all 3 states would add the greatest potential value,” he writes.
