The judge found the acts DOJ sought to ban with an injunction (a civil tool) were “criminal acts punishable under a robust criminal regime” hence it was denied due to lack of utility and conflict with criminal laws - not becoz freedom of expression outweighs national security.

#UPDATE Verdict on the #StandNews sedition case is postponed to 15 Nov, six weeks later than the original schedule on 4 Oct. The trial started on 31 Oct last year and stretched for 56 days over 7 months instead of 20 days as initially earmarked. Closing was finished in late June
