Sources: UCF is hiring former Appalachian State head coach Shawn Clark as the school's new offensive line coach. Clark went 40-24 as the head coach at App State from 2020 to 2024. He's worked as the OL coach at Purdue, Kent State and App State earlier in his career.

App State QB Joey Aguilar has entered the portal as a grad transfer, ESPN has learned. Aguilar has thrown for 6,760 yards and 56 TDs over 25 starts and was the Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year in 2023. Former JC transfer who'll now have an additional season of eligibility.

I just saw this kid running around last night, have pictures of him on my computer. Our days are numbered. Appreciate every one you get and do something with them. Prayers to Emanuell Cooks' family and MS Delta. I can't even imagine.

This was the first time we met Coach Clark. Dude was so genuine, down to earth. He loved people, football, and App State. His support for us from the beginning will always be remembered. Prayers for his family 🙏

Absolutely heartbroken and sick to my stomach… Coach was the ultimate players coach and the epitome of Appalachian State. Above all, he was an amazing father and person who loved all. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Clark family, rest in peace Coach Clark❤️
