JavaScript is a widely-used and popular language - but it lacks type-checking support. This is where TypeScript shines. And you'll learn all about it in this tutorial. In it, @devtoheeb teaches you how types work, how to handle objects, arrays, and function types, how to create

Whenever i want to learn this backend development, suddenly, work comes flying in taking all my time, anyways, i continued learning Node.js, taking Jonas Schmedtmann's course on Udemy, today I learnt about APIs and Restful API Design

So where did i stop? I was finding it difficult to grasp the other backend course, so i took another route and got another course by John Smilga and so far, I have cover the node basics over the past week, currently started the express section of the course. Looks promising.

Started with the basics of express - Spinning up an express server - Recap on the HTTP Methods - Creating my first API - Params and query string setup Learning something new can be challenging, but the benefit in the long run is better!

Learnt about GET, POST, PUT and DELETE methods, also used them in practical, saw the use of morgan, also, learnt about middleware, and finally the MVC, created a controller for my api routes, next is to start working with databases.

Learnt about REST API and the patterns and the common convention and industry standards, also i created a mongoDB account as i started working on my first backend API

. (@dami0la) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Today, created my first mongoDB project, also successfully connected the database using mongoose instead of the mongodb driver as mongoose does all of the heavy lifting

Whenever i want to do this backend thing, that is when one gig or another will come in, it has happened 3 times now, taking all of my time making it impossible to keep up with the lessons, i will be back sha!
