Have you wondered who is more likely to ghost? In a new paper in JSPR, also @josoperrel.bsky.social w/ co-first author Natasha Wood, Richard Slatcher & Andrew Hale, we found that young adults with a high need for closure may be more likely to use ghosting, but they also hurt worse after being ghosted!

I am excited to be presenting this weekend at the #SPSP2023 Annual Convention on the project I have been working on with Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD, Richard Slatcher, and @daisidaisidaisi for the Social Connection Project with Eventbrite.

Another #SPSP2023 post because how could I not share my immense gratitude for my advisor? Truly grateful to be working alongside Richard Slatcher 😊

THE AMAZING, INTELLIGENT, WONDERFUL, Christina M. Leckfor, @cmleckfor.bsky.social, WAS CITED IN THE NEW YORK TIMES. Proud lab mate moment :) Take a look if you’re interested in learning more about ghosting in friendships❤️🩹

Officially Daisi R. Brand, M.S. - An absolute honor and a privilege to have gone through this experience, and extremely grateful it was all with Liz Wiggins by my side♥️ Proud of us! Now onto PhD credentials :)

Such a rewarding experience mentoring for SUREP again! Playing a role in creating this opportunity/resource for such bright students who may not otherwise have access to it is the greatest gift. Thank you Allison L. Skinner & all the mentors for another amazing summer session!

Tremendously grateful to be a part of this project, and so excited to finally share our findings with everyone! Thank you Richard Slatcher, Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD, Andy Proctor, Michael Harvey, and Eventbrite for making this research happen!
