Have you wondered who is more likely to ghost? In a new paper in JSPR, also @josoperrel.bsky.social w/ co-first author Natasha Wood, Richard Slatcher & Andrew Hale, we found that young adults with a high need for closure may be more likely to use ghosting, but they also hurt worse after being ghosted!

Last week, I achieved the huge milestone of defending my thesis. Every day I’m reminded of the amazing gift of education that so many people before me did not get the opportunity to experience. Lots of happy tears were shed! (don’t worry, I changed shoes before the presentation)

Feeling incredibly grateful to have received two awards at our departmental ceremony for my 2nd year presentation examining mask-wearing in building closeness & my thesis research contributing to DEI advances in relationship science! Beyond proud of all the award winners🥳
