My Thursday morning at #ECER2023 starts from ‘left-behind children and hidden curriculum’ to a SERA-ECER short video with Nina and Qiao , and now I am here with many for the keynote we all look forward to Curriculum Making Across Education Systems: the value of diverse voices.

My Friday #ECER2023 morning starts from making short SERA-ECER (SERA Early Career Researchers Network ) videos with Azneezal Ar Rashid (from 🇲🇾 ) to Qiao Dai 代乔 (my fellow organiser) and myself. We end each interview by asking a question to future interviews: I asked: Have you made any new friends at ECER?

Qiao told me that she has a person that she would like to connect, but not sure if she’s still here. Then we started walking, Qiao saw her talking to someone. Then we approached and talked to her what we wanted to do in the “Be different” video series! She is in! victoria showunmi

Qiao (Qiao Dai 代乔 ) asked: Facing the speed fetish, is it possible to take a slower approach to know, do and become in academia? How? Victoria shared her insight to Qiao. Victoria (victoria showunmi ) would like to ask: who would pass the mic to for the work of #diversity? #ECER2023
