4 years on, still in protracted benzo withdrawal, exhausted, shadow of the person I once was and most days are hellish - BUT I’m here, I continue to fight and hold firmly to the HOPE of getting my life back cos I have so much more still to do.

Today I was joined at Parliament House by two fierce disability advocates Sam Connor and Nicole Lee, who literally risked their lives to fly here and urge the Morrison government to *do their job* and keep disabled people alive during covid.

Whilst I hold on to hope that I’ll come thru this benzo-withdrawal hell and regain some semblance of life, the daily struggle is real and unrelenting -

7 years, 23 psychoactive medications - Including 3 benzodiazepines concurrently. a cascade of withdrawal symptoms and abandoned by the very system that harmed me. We’re living at a time when our right to Informed consent has been effectively eroded.
