This Galway roundabout has the MOST REPORTS in all of Ireland on collisiontracker.ie . Council plan an upgrade....but plan to do NOTHING with 2 of the 5 arms. We want a better design, to be a Dutch style r'about like the mock-up. Connacht/CityTribune Galway Advertiser docs.google.com/document/d/10C…

To be honest, for a lot of folks you don't even need to go as far as a cargo bike. A good set of pannier bags has changed the way several members of my family do their weekly shop The most common phase, "its truly amazing how much you can actually fit in them"

Be wary of numbers quoted without context e.g. 600 closures in 2024. What were the annual numbers for the last 10-15 years. Higher/lower? Is 600 normal? Especially important given the ask is for tax payers to fund an increase in profits for business owners

Regarding bike share, Galway doesn't need electric bikes, it needs more stations, all over the city and suburbs, if usage numbers are to increase galwaybayfm.ie/galway-bay-fm-…

Sophia has wanted to make this video as she is fed up waiting for Dublin City Council to fix the footpath and access out side the shops in Marino. This is the safe route she takes home from school but for 5 weeks now she has had to rely on others to help her get back up on the

We keep hearing the #Galway ring road is needed to fix traffic in the city, meanwhile in Athlone which has something similar for several decades, we continue to see headlines like this. Its almost like more roads won't fix traffic westmeathindependent.ie/2025/03/28/ath…

Delighted to see bollards going into Roscam on the bikes lanes there. It had simply become Galways newest car park with the volume of cars parking there. Maybe the 100+ reports I made to traffic watch on illegal parking at that spot had something to do with it 😏

The ongoing efforts of Cllr. Alan Cheevers Fianna Fáil to undo safety improvements in Roscam to facilitate illegal parking at a local shop. This is his 3rd or 4th attempt at getting bollards removed to facilitate illegal parking in Roscam advertiser.ie/galway/article…

Well now, have to give credit where its due and retract my negativity below as Alan has contacted me to say he's working with Castlegar GAA to facilitate the bus in their large car park pending insurance and BE agreement. A good result for all if it comes to fruition
