So unhelpful of EDF 🇬🇧 of offering to ‘help’ reduce our energy bill fro 67p kWh to a still eye watering 57p kWh but affectively tying us in for an extra 10 months. New customers to EDF now get 33p kwh. They don’t all wear striped tops and swag bags you know. MoneySavingExpert

AT LAST!!! The taxable allowance is highlighted on the news. A huge hike in living wage and a freeze on the taxable allowance is a double-whammy tax on businesses and their employees. Don’t be fooled by this governments recent reduction in national insurance. 1/2

My business will be paying more national insurance and my employees will pay more tax as the living wage increases but the taxable allowance is frozen. Some of my employees will be paying tax when last year they were not. Many will find they start to pay tax on part time work!

So, Sunak has said he’ll reduce tax and NI for small businesses and self employed. My word, we feel like we’ve been crippled by his government for a long time, and absolutely flogged for the last two years. The audacity of this manifesto should fool no one.
