When power is toxic... New study PNASNews shows that dominant individuals can influence a group through force, but passive individuals are better at bringing a group to consensus. This result touches on evolution of animal societies and toxic leadership structures THREAD 1/2

Check out our new collaborative paper, which presents an ecomechanical framework to understand the rules of life! Working with this amazing group of integrative biologists was such a pleasure, and special thanks to Tim Higham, @LaraFerry and U.S. National Science Foundation for making this possible.

Happy to contribute in another study leading by the amazing and talented Melissa E. Rodríguez regarding Neotropical leaf-tent making bats. So much more is needed to understand the ecology and evolution of this group of bats, as well as their interactions with plants.

What an amazing work by RELCOM. To put together such amounts of important information about Aicoms/Sicoms is highly valuable and, again, amazing! You can find the link here: relcomlatinoamerica.net/component/sppa…

Out in Environmental Conservation, I am pleased to share how bats are influenced by the establishment of a geothermal project. Studies like this help to keep energy projects accountable while giving us hope that things can be done properly. 👇🏼 dx.doi.org/10.1017/S03768…
