The Etak was the first car 'GPS' system, in 1985

GPS wasn't ready yet. So it used dead reckoning, combined with snapping to known roads.

It used an 8080 CPU, vector CRT, tape storage, and car wheel sensors

They had to make their own maps!

The cost was $1,400 ($4,000 today)!
