Gorgeous day for road trip to Blyth matinee of Alison Lawrence’s Onion Skins & Peach Fuzz: The Farmettes, with lovely cast Charlotte Dennis, Shelayna Christante, Autumn Davis, Lucy Hill, Sachi Nisbet, Alicia Salvador, then to @StratFest to catch up with Salesman in China tonight.

Lovely afternoon at the Blyth Festival in the company of some Farmerettes - both performers on stage and actually in the audience, including one who is 100-years old and served in 1941!! Next stop @StratFest for Salesman In China.

Fabulous road trip to Thousand Islands Playhouse with Janet Porter to see Stephen Massicotte’s Mary’s Wedding directed by Brett Christopher, starring Maev Beaty & Wade Bogert-O'Brien, which I first saw 2005 at Theatre & Company in KW starring Janet & Brett! Plays in Gananoque till Sep 8 only.

Bit of a further theatre jaunt this weekend to East Haddam, Connecticut, home of Goodspeed Musicals, for the US Premiere of MAGGIE the Musical, written by Johnny Reid, Matt Murray & Bob Foster, directed by Mary Francis Moore.

Well that was an extraordinary night - Canada Day at Goodspeed Musicals celebrating the US Premiere of MAGGIE, the new musical by Johnny Reid, Matt Murray and Bob Foster, directed by Mary Francis Moore.

Checking out the soft launch version of the lovely Headshots Cafe Studio (2186 Danforth Ave & Woodbine). Studio still in the works, but Cafe & Shop are open for business. Congrats Jadyn Nasato & Jake Harris!

Heart full after a three-show day at Shaw Festival seeing Eponine Lee in The Orphan of Chao, being serenaded by Travis Seetoo before a terrific The House That Will Not Stand, then seeing Eponine making her understudy debut in Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Human Heart.

Ugh. Don't know all of the "behind the scenes" details and haven't read the court filings, but sad to hear that Factory Theatre has sued Blyth Festival over the previously cancelled production of The Waltz. Hope it get settled quickly and amicably. Full story by Joshua Chong:

Quick bop to NYC for the weekend to catch up with Chilina Kennedy playing Myrtle Wilson in The Great Gatsby @BwayGatsby for a limited engagement. She was fabulous and quite enjoyed the show!
