Dana Piraino, Einstein Elementary School gifted education resource teacher, impacted countless lives in her 30 years as an educator. Her passion for empowering student voice & leadership earned the Illinois State Board of Education Those Who Excel Award for her work as a student ambassador facilitator. #54Retiree

Today we are celebrating #54Retiree Barb DiMatteo's 29 years at Addams Crusaders. "It's been a pleasure to have worked with so many caring educators," she said. In retirement, Barb plans to volunteer with her therapy dog at schools.

Back to where it all began! The Class of 2024 revisited Nerge Elementary School today, marveling at how small everything seems now. It's amazing to see how far they've come from these "tiny" halls. Congrats graduates! 🎓✨

Janice Pike started her D54 career 37 years ago as an Buzz Aldrin Eagles 6th-grade teacher. One can only imagine the number of students Janice has impacted over her almost four decades at Aldrin. In "retirement" Janice plans to continue working as a paraprofessional. #54Retiree

The kids at Blackwell Bobcats enjoyed perfect weather during their annual charity walk today. Throughout the past month, students have raised $4,600 and counting for the District54Foundation!
