Today I stopped by the Indian Health Board's ceremonial groundbreaking for its new health clinic! The spirit of the event embodied what’s to come for this space; wisdom and culturally centered healing. Investments like this are critical to holistic health in our community.

Over the weekend, Rise & Remember and a host of great partners made sure that our community was filled with love, joy and remembrance. We will never forget what happened here 5 years ago, but we will forever remain united in the fight for social justice.

This Memorial Day, we honor those who sacrificed their lives for this country. I attended the 154th annual memorial service at the Pioneers and Soldiers Cemetery on Lake & Cedar. Today's message was uplifting the women who served and who continue to serve.

Cutting SNAP is an attack on working families, especially in Hennepin County where 1 in 9 residents feed their families with this vital program. Yesterday I toured CES, a food shelf in D4 to see just how vital food security resources are to our residents.

Ended the week with a sweet visit to Gale Woods Farm with my colleague Cmsr. Anderson. It’s a farm with public education at its root. It’s a great time to check out their workshops, programs and field trips for in-season farm activities! Still not over my time with Finnsheep🐑

My office is closely monitoring the ongoing and escalating presence of law enforcement outside of Mercado Central. I reached out to the Sheriff and I am currently waiting to hear back and learn more. Our community is justifiably terrified and need answers now.
