Yes, it is wrong that the US’s two-party system creates an absurdly undemocratic “lesser of two evils” predicament. However, the return of a treacherous and unstable president would not only be a state issue, but a global threat to the very victims, which leftists aim to protect.

Though Harris’s declarations supporting Palestine and condemning Netanyahu may only be performative, it is undeniable that these verbal efforts are endlessly better than the blatant claims made by Trump to let Netanyahu “finish the job”.

I recently finished reading Orwell’s autobiographical account “Homage to Catalonia”, in which he makes some brilliant insights on the complex struggle of political theories within a nation. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in these aspects of the Spanish Civil War.
