Only just discovered CycleStreets brilliant journey planner, thanks to Laura Laker’s CityLab article this week. Will definitely be using it from now on. Clear info of quiet/safer routes, even up-to-date cycle infra, all in once place. bloomberg.com/news/articles/… 2/

Interesting view from CycleStreets as to LTNs v 'ratruns'. Notice how the Harbour was designed to prevent through traffic but the more deprived areas such around Seaside Rd ( have fewest car owners) but lots of traffic going through their residential streets
Hi 👋 (((Rezina))) 🌹🐝 love what you're doing w/ active travel in Lambeth. Just wondered, any plans for this crossing of Brixton Hill? Cyclists on route 25, Josephine-Lambert, have to cross 4 lanes unaided. Any chance of help from TfL Will Norman to make safe? 🗺️ CycleStreets
This map from CycleStreets of rat runs and historic LTNs offers a fascinating perspective on Bournville and surrounds.
I'd quibble with aspects. Eg I see Mary Vale Road / Heath Road as a rat run rather than a main road, but overall its great.

Natasha Loder 🐋 Will Norman Google Maps TfL Google This doesn’t help with Google Maps but Citymapper which uses CycleStreets for routing will suggest Barnes Bridge. As far as I can tell google will never(?) tell you to take routes on a bike that require you to dismount - but Cycle Streets is quite happy to do this.
Alan Travis Barnsbury & Laycock Community Streets Islington Living Sts CycleStreets If you live on Offord Road your experience of this junction is that it is dangerous. For instance in the bollards @ the Offord/Thornhill junction were hit hard on 11th July, 22nd July, 26th Aug, Oct 12th, Oct 28th, & Nov 30th. One was taken out again yesterday.

Updated CycleStreets collision data for 2022. Here’s High Street Kensington, just for that period, reported collisions only, on the section @rbkc are doing literally nothing for 🚲 safety because it would “take too long”. It’s a disgrace. bikedata.cyclestreets.net/collisions:fie…
