SO many bumblebee queens emerging at the moment due to the mild weather and finding very little in bloom. If you see one on the ground PLEASE don’t just walk past - gently pick it up and find some winter honeysuckle, mahonia or other winter flower it can safely feed from. Ta 🐝

The Polka Theatre in Wimbledon ran a community cleanup event in Wandle Park recently - and we were glad to attend and see the community coming together for the environment. Activities included litter picking, willow weaving and a river cleanup by Friends of Colliers Wood Parks & Green Spaces #WildWednesday

Wandle Park was looking verdant yesterday in the May sunshine. The resident male Cetti’s Warbler continues to shout out his song, and we now have two singing Reed Warblers, one in each reedbed.
