Cork West Civil Defence volunteers were among the army of volunteers who were out to support the Cork City Marathon yesterday. Well done to all involved.

Bere Island Projects Group made Lonehort Battery available for this exercise and were delighted to assist Cork West Civil Defence in the work they do.

Our 6 Drone Operators, including our 3 newly qualified operators, conducted Drone Search Training this week in a densely forested area. The aim of the exercise was to locate a missing individual, hidden by thick foliage.

Cork West Civil Defence, along with our Irish Red Cross colleagues, were in Béal Na Bláth today supporting the Annual Michael Collins Commemoration. This one marking his 102nd anniversary. We were honoured that An Taoiseach Simon Harris took the time to meet our volunteers.
