.World Health Organization (WHO), with the support from the Gates Foundation, has supported the Government of Nigeria to engage over 3000 #polio SURGE team, reporting 6,484 AFP cases in 2023. The Surge has also resulted in a 61% reduction in poliovirus type 2 cases in the country from June 2022 to June 2023.
