It seems apt to share this today, especially when the doc ‘Origins: the Story of Irish Hip Hop’ is broadcast tonight (on RTÉ One, 10.15). I used to receive loads of demo tapes back in the day, but I kept this one safe because I knew deep down it was very important. And it was.

Have had some fine times at this venue - not least the launch of this thing, as well as gigs, birthday parties, and a Culture Vultures event or two. Happy 10th birthday. There will be time for proper celebrations ahead!

This time last year myself and Andrea Keogh delivered the first Culture Vultures event of 2020 - a fine chat with @DavidKeenanmuso and a belter of a gig from him and his musician friends. Future events had to be ditched, of course, so here’s to 2021 for some of those, right?!
