Earlier this year, I had a conversation with someone who questioned my support system. Anyone who truly knows me understands how much that means to me. For them to question it made me see them in a way I never wanted to.

I couldn’t believe the audacity of said person to bring up something that had nothing to do with the situation but that told me a lot.

Anytime I’ve reached out to my support system, it’s always been nothing but love. Never once have I had to second guess the people who’ve stood by me in everything I’ve wanted to do. If that was their attempt to make me see things differently, it definitely failed. Are you nuts?

The distance my friends go to support me is something money can’t buy. Nothing but love over here. I felt a sense of jealousy because of the way the question was asked. Almost like “where are those you big up so much” and I’m like you serious right now? 🥴😂

On the lowest of keys… I’ve always felt a little jealousy from people over the way I’m loved by others. Honestly, I can’t help that.

Truth be told….in that moment I didn’t need my support system (specifically my friends) involved in this situation. Which is why I went so long without saying anything but since you asked….they’re here and always was.

And yes I do have a huge support system. Doesn’t mean I have to involved them in every decision or situation in my life. I’m capable of doing a lot on my own but my support system always there to carry me if need be.

August begins tomorrow and I vow to leave the last 7 months behind me. Plus it’s my birthday month. On to better things ❤️
