While on top of a major energy-crisis we're having a pollution peak, we "discover" that, if humanity had the Belgian's consumption patters, we already would have used all of the world's ressources. I genuinely wonder when we will understand we are doing everything wrong.

Seems to me this is a pretty good visual metaphor: a few activists are trying to stand up to the fossil fuel machine, but the machine ploughs on, with no regard for human wellbeing. Meanwhile, agents of the state look on passively, approvingly, ready to support business as usual.
