Get the sense that we talk about on-campus harassment and intimidation differently when the subjects are Jewish students?

2/ Stopping rape is just the most fundamental women's rights issue. It's in every culture. It universally causes trauma. If feminists can agree on anything, it's that rape is bad.

But we look the other way when it's politically inconvenient and involves Jews?

I say this as someone who is proudly feminist, someone who rose to national prominence on feminist issues.

But the silence from people I considered close allies in women's rights on the October 7th rapes has fundamentally shaken my appraisal of the movement and our integrity.

The CCF is shocked to learn that Ottawa spent more than $2 million of taxpayer funds unsuccessfully fighting the legal challenge launched by the CCF and others to the Trudeau government’s illegal invocation of the Emergencies Act in 2022.

What complicity and cowardice gets you. This is a horror show.

It was absolutely unacceptable for the government to impose the Emergencies Act and freeze innocent people’s bank accounts.

It’s completely wrong for the government to spend millions of tax dollars trying to defend what it did.

Taxpayers deserve an apology not a legal bill.

What a painful weekend: Jewish students warned it is no longer safe at Columbia University (my alma mater), Ottawa protests celebrating Hamas and the October 7th massacre, my Twitter mentions including a call for Jews to die, and too many still excusing it or remaining silent.
