December's jobs report beat expectations, with 216K jobs added to the economy. But we must watch labor force participation given the sudden and unexpected decline of 676K workers. If that holds, there are now 2.2M missing workers if we had the same participation rate as Feb 2020.

A so-so jobs report. Job gains missed expectations but were still 175,000. More concerning is the number of missing workers jumped to 2.3 million in April.

The economy added 272,000 jobs and wages grew 4.1% on an annual basis in May. Those are fantastic numbers. However, 250,000 people exited the labor force and the unemployment rate actually went up, taking some of the shine off the report.
