Urea was spread last Thursday to the high and low treatments. Back today to take second measurements! Eth295 is still looking sad after the recent damage.

We have found what looks like weevils in our barley. Can anyone help us identify from these photos? Bec Swift Sarita Bennett

Starting to see some obvious colour differences between the control varieties and those with nitrogen application. A further application was applied to the high treatment (Right) last week, will document any differences.

Some of this weeks observations! Eth295 has come back, the plants are in boot (see picture 2). We have noticed some snails and powdery mildrew. The difference between treatments is more varied.

Harvest time and our trial in coming to the end. Biomass, yield and analysis will be calculated next week!! Sarita Bennett Bec Swift
