Good morning from Nantucket Harbor Johnny Nichols & Hunter Rifkin were fishing this morning when they spotted a pair of deer swimming. Deer are strong swimmers and it’s not unusual to see them out traversing the harbor, and sometimes even offshore - but still a sight to behold!

Getting reports that Nantucket’s south shore is littered this morning with green foam board that appears to be from Vineyard Wind’s broken turbine

Nantucket Harbormaster Sheila Lucey has issued a warning about a large piece of Vineyard Wind turbine debris located near Madaquecham Beach. “It will cause a hazard to mariners and beach patrons. All mariners & swimmers please take warning & avoid this area.”

Nantucket resident Nathan Skerritt was fishing this morning along the south shore and documenting the fiberglass shards still washing up from Vineyard Wind’s damaged turbine blade, more than a week after its failure 15 miles southwest of the island

Just spoke with ACK Harbormaster and she said Nantucket should expect more Vineyard Wind debris to wash up from the latest blade detachment. This photo from last Sunday off Muskeget island west of Nantucket:
