Ferguson: We're excited to go against someone else after playing each other for the last month.

Ferguson: I'm excited that the contract was signed to play Bluefield State. It's good for both campuses, good for each community and good for the area.

Ferguson: I would say Bluefield State got out the first game jitters and some of the mistakes that come with playing in the first game.

Ferguson: With the landscape of college football, we will constantly have new guys transferring in and young guys coming in. We're excited about the new guys that will play.

Ferguson: With Bluefield State playing last week, we were able to see film in a game situation. They may be guessing a little bit on us with our new offensive and defensive coordinators.

Ferguson: Chris Anderson brings a ton of experience to our program. He worked under me at Tusculum. I'm looking forward to him calling plays on offense.

Ferguson: Our defensive coordinator David Blake is energetic and cares about the players he coaches.

Ferguson: Blayne Ferguson has done it the right way. He learned how to play quarterback in our offense under Jack Mangel. Blayne pushed Jack in practice and now he gets his turn.

Ferguson: Jordyn Bentley was still learning how to play offense last year after moving over from defense. He had a great preseason camp. He's also grown as a person off the field.
