IRISS has been putting our 3D printing equipment from the fab lab to use in the fight against COVID-19. A small production line has been set up at the home of Engineering Manager, Steve Borenstein, to produce face shields for doctors and nurses.

Usually, when a balloon is launched to the stratosphere, it is carried considerable distances. Not so last week when a high-pressure system produced almost no upper or lower level winds. Big thanks to Aaron in Littleton! #CUEngineering #CUIRISS

The IRISS team just completed a three-week field deployment using the Super Raaven UAS to conduct autonomous targeted observation of severe convective storms. The IRISS team conducted four coordinated UAS missions on three separate severe convective storms. Great job, team!
