We are watching Connor Bedard go from a teenager wanting to be accepted by the league to an adult who doesn't care what anybody else thinks. And I am here for it.

Nick Lardis was a 3rd round draft pick for the Blackhawks and wasn't expected to become a top prospect. Then he potted 71 goals in junior hockey. But people still doubted him. He's currently leading the AHL in points as a rookie. Its early, but the doubters are hunting wabbits.

#Blackhawks prospects Nick Lardis and Oliver Moore are both 20 year old rookies in a league full of grown men. Lardis leads the league in points while Moore leads the league in goals. Its only 8 games, but the Blackhawks may have cracked the code on developing young talent...

Another of the recent developmental success stories for the #Blackhawks is 7th round pick Louis Crevier. Historically about 4-5% of 7th rounders ever play a game in the NHL. Crevier not only made it, he is now establishing himself as a legit RHD. I didn't see that coming...

Last season, #Blackhawks prospect Nick Lardis opened a lot eyes when he scored 71 goals for the Brantford Bulldogs (OHL). Fellow Hawk prospect Marek Vanacker was his teammate and scored 24 of his own. This season, thru 13 Brantford games, Vanacker is on pace to score... 71 goals

For the 1st time in a long time, the #Blackhawks have legit prospects at every position. C/W - Frondell, Kantserov, Moore, Lardis, Vanacker, Nestrasil, Boisvert and others. D - Korchinski, Del Mastro, Allen G - Commesso, Gajan and others. The 2026 draft can truly be BPA.

Caleb Williams is 23 years old. Connor Bedard is 20 years old. Josh Giddey is 23 years old. Pete Crow-Armstrong is 23 years old. It's a new era in Chicago sports and the future is bright.

Welp, it's official. The Chicago Bears are ahead of the Green Bay Packers in the standings and are tied for 1st place with the Lions at 6-3 (though are technically in 2nd place due to the current state of the tiebreaker). I didn't think I would be writing that this season.

The Chicago Bears have been winning ugly. That's okay. It's football. You can debate how lucky their 6-3 record is, but their next 4 games could end that debate. @ MIN vs. PIT @ PHI @ GB If they go 0-4 or 1-3, they've been lucky. 2-2, the debate goes on. 3-1, they're for real.

Will the #Cubs EVER go above the CBT threshold? They were unwilling to beat 3/45 for Suarez? I mean maybe Suarez simply didn't want to play in Chicago, but if not, it seems like a reasonable salary and length. He fills a need on the roster. What are they waiting for?

I keep hearing that the #Cubs can "afford" a top tier hitter (Bregman) or pitcher (King, et al) but can't afford both? Why not? Is the CBT threshold a moat with alligators in it? Now is the time Jed has been waiting for. You can easily reset under the limit next season.

What is it with John Buccigross and his inability to pronounce Connor Bedard's name? Ever since Bedard has entered the league, Bucci has been calling him Berard about 40% of the time. Someone must have told him, and yet it keeps happening. What an odd brain block to have. Lol.
