The Federation of Cuban Women FMC de Cuba celebrates its 64th anniversary today. It has spearheaded what Fidel heralded as the "revolution within the revolution", leading to remarkable achievements in all walks of life for Cuban women. Sin las mujeres, no hay revolución!

✅ Since 1982 many thousands of Palestinians have trained in Cuba - as doctors, engineers and other professions.

✅ In December 2023 Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel tweeted « The genocide carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people, with the complicity of the US, must stop now. We demand peace for Palestine. »

✅ In June 2024 Cuba joined South Africa’s lawsuit at the International Court of Justice. ✅ Currently 250 Palestinian students are currently training as doctors in Cuba - at no cost to the Palestinian people.

✅ Despite the US blockade maintained against Cuba for 62 years, Cuba continues to speak out. ❌ In the last UN General Assembly vote condemning the blocakde only two countries voted against the resolution - the US and Israel.

Remembering Fabio di Celmo, a victim of terrorism against Cuba, who died in Havana 27 years ago today. An Italian working in Cuba, Fabio was killed on 4 Sep 1997 when a bomb exploded in the foyer of the Hotel Copacabana, during a bombing campaign against Cuban hotels in the 90s.
