Happy Easter weekend however you celebrate it. Please drive carefully on the roads and highways as statically major accidents and fatalities increase on holiday weekends. Let's end those stats. Drive carefully and sober. Regina Police SGI

The other day, our CTSS and RCMP motorcycle crew were proud to welcome WW2 Sask vet, Regina Rifleman, Robert Watson back from the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Holland. Check out Robert's bio if you can, what a remarkable man. A true definition of a hero. Regina Police

Last week was road safety week, slow down to 60 in work zones, or when work crews, tow trucks, or first responders are working on the highway. We were a part of this parade of work vehicles raising awareness. Please slow down. Everyone wants to go home. Regina Police

This driver was stopped as none of their brake lights worked. When our officer approached the car, the driver was smoking with their under 2 year old in the car. In case you are wondering, there is a ticket for smoking in your vehicle with children present. Regina Police

These were just some of the speeds we encountered on the highway this long weekend. Perfect examples of why collisions and fatalities have a higher percentage of happening on long weekends. SLOW DOWN!! Regina Police SGI

Remember that school will be starting up this week. So a few traffic reminders, no u-turns in school zones, speed is 30km from 7am to 7pm, and there is no parking in the no stopping zones, most schools have designated drop off zones, so use them. Regina Police SGI
