Best thing I did was actively surround myself with builders I used to waste my time with people that talk but don't build Talkers cling on to builders to suck their resources like leeches They will put you in giant email threads, Zoom calls, endless DMs, to talk ideas and

Not a bold take at all. In a small company the CTO should be head geek, sometimes hands on, focused on the delivery of the tech and be the #1 evangelist for what has been built. In large companies split this between CIO, CSO, CDO, CPO and let the CTO focus on the tech delivery!

Have to agree, breaking changes published because a client required it is pretty shitty! Plenty of other ways you could have handled this, including creating a RC at a major version update?

Made some updates to my Xero invoice (and now Bill) uploader invoice.mindlattice.com - Added multiple uploads - you can now upload up to 10+ invoices or bills in a single go - Added email reminders for close to limit uploads - Improved AI detection #buildinpublic

Do not recommend using Microsoft GraphRAG with API based LLMs, I'm up to $200 and about 48 hours for 100 documents (about 1200 pages) so far. It's an incredible framework but it's extremely expensive and slow. Would be interesting to try with a local LLM on decent hardware though
