Miss Douglas and 2 Maple led our whole school Celebration of the Word. Yesterday was the feast of St Teresa of Calcutta and she is our class Patron Saint. We shared the work she did and reminded people that even the smallest act of kindness and care can make a big difference.

In #CTKcomputing 2 Maple learned about the importance of staying safe online. We talked about different scenarios and who we can go to for help.

In #CTKPSHE we used the book ‘Can I Join Your Club?’ To discuss inclusion and being good friends.

In #CTKPSHE we read a lovely book called ‘Can I join your club?’ It helped us recognise our unique qualities and how we can be inclusive and good friends. We designed posters to make everyone feel welcome in our club.

Today in pe with year 2 we have been working on invasion games. Focusing on our under arm throw to a team mate.

We heard a little squeak coming from the back of our classroom today! Turns out a hedgehog had gotten in!! He had a bandage around his head and reminded me of Max from the book “The Hodgeheg”. We discussed what might have happened to him. #CTKenglish

Maths was all about place value! We used our big picture to spark conversation and base 10 to make numbers splitting them into tens and ones. #CTKMaths

In #CTKRE 2 Maple loved listening to the story of creation through the use of our golden box. Today we were reminded of what God created and how wonderful our world is. 🌍 ❤️

We have met Max the hedgehog today! We can’t wait to read all about his adventures in our new core text The Hodgeheg 🤩 #CTKEnglish

A lovely start to the day with CTK Year 1 and CTK Year 2 singing about God’s creation. Every blade of grass is one of my favourites.

This afternoon 2 Maple have been learning about the difference between human and physical geographical features. We used pictures of some landmarks in the UK to sort them into 2 groups.

Wow! 2 Willow blew our socks off in their first pre-cursive handwriting lesson this morning. Watch this space for more beautiful handwriting coming soon! ✏️

In #CTKRE we have been thinking about the amazing things God created in our world and how he cares for us all. We added actions and performed “He’s got the whole world in his hands.”

We had lots of fun in PE this morning. We are working on under arm throwing and catching and aiming skills. Christ the King PE & Sports #CTKPE
