You could not make it to this year's Financial Cryptography and want to see the talks' presentations. No worries! You're covered! They're all available on YT. For instance, learn from the great Noemi Glaeser @cryptonoemi.bsky.social presenting our paper with Joseph Bonneau! 🎥:youtube.com/watch?v=yv4aLW…

A new paper from Noemi Glaeser, Seres István András, Joseph Bonneau introduces the notion of “naysayer proofs,” where a verifier optimistically accepts a submitted proof without verifying its correctness. a16zcrypto.com/posts/article/…

This is exactly why we have Ask Cryptography and although I understand the friction of registering to a new website, we are loosing a lot for archiving purposes. Here is an illustration of how it will be easier if people went to askcryp.to/2024/555 from the beginning (1/n):

Sure, blockchains are transparent, but can you read them privately (without running a full node)? On-chain PKIs, e.g., ens.eth, would be much more powerful if one could read them privately using private information retrieval (PIR) protocols. ib4 someone says PIR is slow:

Last year, Seres István András, Noemi Glaeser @cryptonoemi.bsky.social and Joseph Bonneau published the Naysayer Proofs paper, proposing optimistic verification of SNARKs.
