Let's call Ferguson what he is: weak. He won't lead, won't offer solutions, won't work with legislators to solve problems. He is terrified of what the Seattle Times editorial board will say, but has no concern at all for WA's public services or the people who depend on them.

This is wrong. What Democrats should unironically do is buy a bunch of bot farms and flood right-leaning social media feeds on TikTok and Facebook with the stock market collapse & Trump's illegal deportations of legal residents. You can't message your way out of a algorithm issue

Now that high-speed rail between Dallas and Houston, the two largest metro areas in the 8th largest economy in the world, is dead, train travel will take 24 hours and run 3 times a week instead of 90 minutes with departures every 30 minutes. Glad we have our priorities in order.

California is in a deep and worsening crisis, and the two most ambitious bills to address it are in trouble. Please read and sign on to my open letter to the Senate Housing Committee Chair asking for support on SB 79 and SB 677.

This is not hard. I strongly support SB 79 and SB 677 to make it possible to build more housing in California. Aisha Wahab is my state senator, and I strongly urge her to support these bills as Senate Housing Chair.

When this happens, we must be clear about why: $5 billion in cuts to education, human services, and cash assistance programs isn’t enough for Governor Ferguson. He wants to defund Washington by even more, and is looking for accomplices in the State Legislature.

One of the Labors of Hercules was to clean out the Augean Stables. He did this by rerouting a river to flood the place clean. This is a good metaphor for the Seattle Public Schools superintendent search. More here: progressiveseattleparents.org/hercules-for-s…

California cannot claim to be a beacon of freedom and liberation while refusing to build homes for newcomers. Providing sanctuary for downtrodden people fleeing oppression means accepting change in our neighborhoods to give those people somewhere to live.

They got an Irish union leader AND a Bengali union leader opening up for Zohran, each inflecting their speeches with their characteristic accents which I loved hearing. This is “Old New York” and “New New York” coming together for a better city for all of us.
