We wanted to take a moment to remind you that these brands have earned our seal of approval as verified cruelty-free last month. They have not taken part in pre-market animal testing in China, despite being sold in that market. They are now FULLY cruelty-free!

The beauty industry in general needs a makeover.

Did you know that animal testing for cosmetics isn't federally banned in the United States? Even in the few states in which it's banned, products can still be tested on animals outside of the US, which means that almost nothing is truly cruelty-free.

It's wild that some companies still torture animals just to bring a product to market in 2023.

Going into 2024 with high hopes for a more ethical beauty industry! Animal testing for cosmetics has been BANNED in 11 states. Here's the progress so far:

K18 IS STILL CRUELTY-FREE however they are now owned by a parent company that isn't. ❌⁠ ⁠ We're staying on top of any changes with K18's cruelty-free status and have already reached out to Unilever.⁠

HUGE WIN! 👏 Chile has banned animal testing for cosmetics. Chile is now the 45th country worldwide, and the 3rd country in South America, to ban this cruel practice.
