Just some dickhead with opinions and less of an unhealthy obsession with FFXIV these days. Mainly fixate on DQ and Golden Sun instead.

Idk what I expected from a DBZ game but... this version of their "fight" clearly misses the point of showing how overwhelmingly strong SSJ and Goku, even in his weakened state, is. This is just pointless fluff that actively detracts from the original intent for what? Ooh flashy

Time to replay the first Dragon Quest game I consciously bought for myself as a kid with what little money I had from Birthdays and Christmas etc

Rather than actually advance the story, I spent way too long grinding very low level mobs to fuse 4 slimes into 2 slime +1's which will then become a King Slime... I could have spent my time much more efficiently... oh well, say hi to Booger and Goober

Used to be the first thing you do when reaching a new town in a JRPG was explore all the houses, speak to all the NPCs, find the loot, rob their stuff. That was the standard. It is far from esoteric to expect players to explore in a genre partially about exploring

I've never noticed this before, but the bank in DQMJ let's you deposit gold in the hundreds, tens and singles units. Standard Dragon Quest limits you to multiples of 1000. Odd. Well off to do stupid reckless plays because all my money is safe
