Back at the Spanish Gallery today after a couple of weeks away, and this week's treasure is a full-sized polychromed carving of Saint Paul, 1620-30, attributed to Francisco de Ocampo.

There are a few intricately carved finials surviving on the medieval bench ends at St. Mary’s, Ickleton, Cambridgeshire😍 They include a depiction of St. Michael weighing souls (main photo) and some fantastic creatures (see thread below for a selection). 🤩
