The state government went to the election promising an outer harbour in Kwinana, they set up an “independent” committee to look for other options and surprisingly that well paid committee have recommended......the Kwinana outer harbour!!

This morning I attended the Vietnam Memorial Day in Port Kennedy. The TPDVWA put on an excellent event to commemorate the fact that 60,000 Aussie troops were involved in the Vietnam war over a 10 years and it is only right that we remember all those who served in that conflict.

How lucky are we in WA to be COVID free (no community transmission) and how fortunate are we in Rockingham to have 35km of gorgeous coastline! Very fortunate to live in one of the most isolated cities in the world.

The $59m Baldivis sporting complex is coming along well ,road infrastructure ready and half of the 30,000 native plants have been planted on site, soon the massive rolls of turf in place. I fought for this facility when and am really happy and excited with the progress so far,

18 years ago today Ann and I got married (medieval theme) and flew to Australia straight after our honeymoon. Ann is helping out in Melbourne so is away for this anniversary.

Tonight I attended the arts and technology showcase at Baldivis Secondary College. Excellent opportunity for the talented artistic students to get feedback from the wider community. A lot of talent on display be that dance, photography, music or painting or sculptures. Well done

Congrats 2 the Town of Cambridge 4 their victory in the Supreme Court against the State Government. local gov has restrictions in place that no other level has, more transparency and this outcome shows the local government minister massively over reached. A common sense outcome

Punch me! I attended the Rockingham streetgames, Free for all abilities to enjoy some sports friendship+food! Reclink Australia run these free sessions at City Park on Westralia Gardens , every Tuesday from 10am till 11.30. I took a turn holding up the boxing pads!!

5 yrs ago I supported the Baldivis Probus Club to form, it was great to give a presentation today on their 5th bday I spoke about local projects and took some great questions. This group meet regularly and always looking out for new members from the retirees in the community.

The $625,000 new skatepark in Cooloongup is completed! This new park old park features pump bumps, ramp extensions, a taco + soon will have shade shelter with seating and CCTV. Looks great. (located on the corner of Wilmington drive and Grange Drive)

One of the best aspects of being a Councillor is the involvement with local schools. Today I gave a talk to year 5 classes at Makybe Rise Primary School on politics and local government. Some really good questions from this well behaved, polite and energetic group of students.

I enjoyed volunteer hosting a Halloween themed fund raising night at Bertram Primary School this weekend. The schools P+C spent a lot of time over many weeks putting this event together, well done to them.
