I’m loving all the Coliseum photos on my timeline. There’s nothing I’d rather see more. The Coliseum is beautiful, and it’s my favorite place on earth. Some may not see it that way, but I know quite a few of my followers agree with me. Try and enjoy baseball at the Coliseum

I've been holding it in; a leaky faucet this weekend, but I'm afraid it'll be waterworks this week as the Oakland Athletics take Ricky Henderson Field for their very last series in The Town forever

This letter -which misspells Loma Prieta- says Fisher’s goal “was to win world championships and build a new ballpark.” Instead, they drove the team into the ground & will be in a Triple-A stadium next year. “Did our very best” is, at best, insincere. At worst, a total lie.

I didn’t know anyone in 1977 when I moved out to CA and the Bay Area. So I went to alot of Oakland A's ballgames & it became my surrogate family! Then when I covered games there it felt like home. I belonged there. The coliseum will always be a fond memory.

Conspiracy time. Fisher sent this out to incite those “rumblings” that the organization heard about for the final game. Now he’s beat the sleeping bear—the ant hill if you will. Please don’t trash the Coliseum these next few days. Please don’t give them a reason to blame us more

“John, you’re a serial penny pincher, you destroyed your family’s great name and legacy because of your cheapness…I can go call 3 billionaires right now that will buy the team!” -Larry Beil A’s are pushing the boundary between sadness and anger. We say feel your anger

Larry Beil of KGO (Bay Area's ABC affiliate) read "a great work of fiction," AKA John Fisher's letter to Oakland A's fans. Then strongly reacted to it. Well worth the time. (H/T Last Dive Bar 🏟)
