Year 29 of teaching is officially in the books! I go back to work August 13 to begin year 30 which will also be my last! 188 workdays until retirement! Not that I’m counting or anything!😂😂

My daughter cooked dinner tonight! Mediterranean grilled chicken and lemon herb couscous. My first time to try couscous and it’s pretty good.

The Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom makes the best drinks! We tried a Lamu Libation and a Leaping Lizard!

My daughter’s birthday dessert she requested. Chocolate lava cake with raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream!

The best part of my day right now is sitting on my front porch watching the hummingbirds.

My family is fully vaccinated but my daughter and I both tested positive in the past week. I don’t remember a time I’ve ever slept so much! Covid exhaustion is real! We both have sinus infection type symptoms with very weak taste & smell (so weird to barely taste food!)
