Thank you to Aboyne Academy pupils for spending a musical morning with Crathie pupils. The pupils were very inspired, but also learned how much hard work goes into practising an instrument.

We learned how to make a dice & “Rock, paper, scissors” on BBC micro bits. We also coded each other to spell words and make different shapes and took apart an old laptop to look inside. We are learning about babies in HWB. Mixed age free play can sometimes be tricky, but here the older pupils have been reading to the younger pupils and their “babies”. Great modelling for the younger pupils. #article6 #playforallages #collaboration

We loved hearing about the reintroduction of beavers into the Cairngorms National Park from Ranger Judy. It was great fun trying to make strong beaver dams. Cairngorms National Park #curiosity

The teddy zip-line has been improved this week. It is now higher & faster! Our blue tit chicks are growing fast, they now look very cute & fluffy!

We’ve had a wonderful weekend at Dalguise with our P4 - 7 pupils. The PGL staff were great fun, the food amazing, the activities challenging and the weather perfect. So proud of all the lovely comments about good behaviour & teamwork the pupils got. Strathdon School #PGLDalguise

We have the best parents ever! When we were at school camp, they sneaked in and tidied our school grounds. The vegetable garden has a new shed, fences, gates and tables have been painted, the pond has been cleaned and the playground has been pressure washed. Thank you so much 😊

Thank you so much to James & Sarah from Balmoral Castle for showing us all the new plants and topiaries in the grounds. We loved the maze and the new squirrel trail is fantastic. Staff & pupils thoroughly enjoyed the scones, juice or hot drinks.

To end our STEM on the farm topic we all made our own versions of Shaun the Sheep!
