😡Just take a moment to absorb this. An entirely UNELECTED Prime Minister is selling public assets AT A LOSS in order to prevent a future ELECTED Prime Minister from reversing the decision to junk a manifesto pledge on which people actually voted. ~AA thetimes.co.uk/article/95eb4d…

Paris just dropped a new Pedestrian Plan. You heard that right - transforming the city for walking is the key priority for the liveable city of the 21st century. Walking. No new technology required. No big infrastructure spend. Designing the city for walking is the golden goose.

1919 - Great grandfather aged 8 allowed to walk 6 miles to go fishing. 1950 - Grandfather aged 8 allowed to walk 1 mile to the woods. 1979 - Mother aged 8 allowed to walk 1/2 mile to the pool. 2000s - Son allowed to walk 275m to the end of the street. Cars destroy freedom.

UK towns could be so cute. Instead they are car-centric thoroughfares. Constant flow bringing noise and air pollution and taking up all the road space. Absolutely no chance of pushing a buggy, using a walker or wheelchair

Residents saying closing roads creates more traffic honestly confuse me.. just one Google or induced demand would save everyone a lot of time

If you’re crashing into things on the pavement the problem isn’t the thing that’s on the pavement, the problem is you’re a terrible driver. Let’s get Trees for Streets planting a new tree there so it’s easier for these terrible drivers to spot.

It should be illegal for companies like Virgin Media ❤️ to make you wait on the phone 1 hrs to cancel a contract. Absolutely worst company. Good riddance

For the 'cyclists should pay to use the road' types I'm happy to pay if it is proportionate to the damage I do It would take a road bike 3,044 years of doing the same journey every day to damage the road as much as 1 journey in an SUV roaddamagecalculator.com H/T London Cycleway C3/CS3's Crowdsourced Count

Rebuilding the area of Los Angeles destroyed by global warming-induced wildfires is expected to cost a minimum of $250 BILLION with costs rising due to the need to remove vast amounts of toxic waste. If you think 'net zero costs too much', I have some terrible news for you.
